To our brothers and sisters in Christ at Trinity United Christmas is often a time when families come together to share in the many blessings of this wondrous season. With our roots deeply connected, and having enjoyed services together in the past, we hope that you, our mother church, will join us as part of our family this Christmas. On behalf of the congregation of St. James'-Rosemount, it is my pleasure to extend to all of you a warm invitation to join us for worship on Christmas Day, Dec. 25th and New Year's Day, January 1st, 2017. Both services begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. Wherever your journey takes you this Advent and Christmas, may you know the hope, peace, joy and love of the Christ Child.

This Week at 74 Frederick

Members of ShamRose for Syrian Culture spent many hours this past weekend preparing food for the MCC fundraiser on Monday December 5th to support the work of MCC in Syria. The menu consisted of chicken legs, rice with saffron and falafels. The church was filled with wonderful smells.

L. Donohue and K. Lees decorated the Christmas Tree for everyone’s enjoyment.

Poinsettias of assorted sizes were delivered to the church on Thursday afternoon for those who purchased them. A wonderful display of colour.

Share a Ribbon for Peace – Stop by and add a ribbon next time you are passing by the church.

A bus load of people from KW headed to Five Oaks for the Journey to Bethlehem walking tour. They met up with historical characters talking and sharing life of long ago. Some travelers rode in a horse drawn “chariot”.

Parking lot access is now through a narrow passage. There is a deep rut so be careful as you enter and exit the lot. Dec 7th

K. Usher and J. Ashworth spent time fine tuning the sound system so the recordings of the service can be shared on the church website.
