United Church Calendars: If you would like a calendar, please contact Dorothy in the office. They are $5.00 each.
Boxes, Boxes, Boxes: We are in need of sturdy boxes for packing items at the church. Please bring in boxes that can be sealed (top and bottom flaps) or ones with lids. Liquor store boxes are good as well as photocopy paper boxes for those of you in business. Please leave them in the chapel.
Gifts with Vision: New Catalogues are now available in the Annex, Narthex and Hearth Room. Check out this year’s edition. Information also available online here.
Observer Subscription: It is that time to renew your Observer subscription. Please make cheques payable to Trinity United Church $25.00. Due date is November 30th.
Godly Play: will be provided throughout the month of October for our children at Trinity.
Trinity Single Women's Dinner Group: will meet at Swiss Chalet, Highland and Westmount Roads location on Tuesday, October 31 at 6:00 pm. Please contact Pauline U. o RSVP or for more information.
A Service of Remebrance: led by the choir on Sunday November 5th at 10:00 am. Please join us.
Messy Church: “Journey with Abraham and Sarah” Sunday November 5th from 4:00 – 6:00pm at St. Matthews. Doors open at 3:15.
LAST WEEK: Food drive for Attawapiskat Reserve in Northern Ontario. Items collected will be shipped the week of November 6th.
Return to Standard Time: Sunday November 5th you can sleep in an extra hour as clocks revert back to standard time overnight.
Gord’s Organ Concert: Sunday, Nov. 19th at 7:30 P.M. This will be a relaxing evening of fun, music, and refreshments. And it will be the last chance to hear the magnificent pipe organ at Trinity before we move to St. Matthews, so come out and enjoy. Absolutely free. This is my gift to the congregation.
Poinsettia Sales: Now that the frost is on the pumpkin, its time to start thinking about Poinsettias!!! The Heard girls will once again be selling poinsettias as a fundraiser for their ringette teams and dance team. They will be available to order after church Nov 5, & Nov 12, or by e-mailing D-J at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 519-578-9246. Pick up will be Nov 28 at St. Matthews from 4-6:30. Sunday November 5th at 3:00 pm: There will be a Covenanting Service between Forest Hill United , Gary Clark and Ellen Baynton-Walker. Located at 121 Westmount Rd E, Kitchener, ON N2M 4Y6. There is ample parking available in the church parking lot. Please join this celebration of ministry as Presbytery members are a part of this covenanting too.

Tuesday November 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm: SPAGHETTI SUPPER & BAKE SALE - Mark your calendar! Westminster United Church’s annual fundraiser. Dinner includes spaghetti with the choice of sauce, salad, rolls, beverages and dessert! Adults are $12.00, Children 2-12 are $6.00 and Children under 2 are free. Yummy home-baked goods will be for sale as well. All are welcome - spread the word to friends, family and co-workers, and invite them to attend!
November 11th / 12th weekend: The DaCapo Chamber Choir sets out on a three-year program series inspired by the global refugee situation. Parsed three ways, the series reflects on themes of Displacement this season, Resettlement next year, and Renewal in the third year. The choir is thrilled to welcome back Persian vocalist Amir Haghighi, from Vancouver BC, to start our 3-concert season based on the theme of "Displacement". Amir will be performing with us for Iman Habibi's Colour of Freedom, based on text by Marina Nehmet (Prisoner of Tehran).
Join us on Saturday Nov. 11th, 8pm at St John the Evangelist church in Kitchener or on Sunday Nov. 12th, 3pm at St. John's Lutheran church in Waterloo. Tickets are available online at www.dacapochamberchoir.ca.
