What's Happening at Trinity

World Wide Communion: Sunday October 1st led by Margaret Collard, Diaconal Minister, retired.

Laughing Yoga:  continuing on Monday evenings in the Reception Room 7:15 – 8:15 pm.

Prayer Shawl:  We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month between 1:30 and 3:30 pm in the Reception Room.  Please join us.

Trinity Single Womens’ September Dinner:  Tuesday September 26th at 6:00 pm.  Pot Luck Dinner at the home of Mary Ann P.  All single women welcome!  RSVP 519-888-6924 or

Messy Church:   begins on Sunday October 1st! From 4 to 6 Sunday afternoon, ending with dinner!  Please plan on joining us to celebrate the wedding at Cana, with Roy Holton joining us as story teller, and for a party to start the season off!   We are currently confirming if we will be holding Messy at St. Matthews, so please watch your email, or next week’s Friday e-blast for confirmation of which location!   All are welcome! 

 Fellowship Club:  A Tour of the Trinity Organ - Take a trip with Gord Allgeier, our organist, and explore the sounds of the Trinity pipe organ, and find out how this magnificent instrument works. Sunday, October 15th at 7:30 pm in the Hearth Room.  Everyone welcome.

Fair Trade Magazine: is available for pick up.  Published by the Canadian Fair Trade Network, this magazine does an excellent job of explaining what fair trade is, and how you can support this important movement.   This issue includes an article on Fair Trade and Free Trade and it’s impact on us.   Please pick up a copy, found in the Narthex, the Hearth room or in the Office Foyer area, it’s a good read of important information.

Community News

Sunday, September 24 at 7:30 pm:  Taizé service at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 55 Driftwood Drive in Kitchener  519-571-9200.

 Sunday October 1 between 2:00 and 4:00 pm:  COMMUNITY MINISTRY CONCERT - @ Calvary Memorial United Church, 91 Gruhn St. Kitchener. SOUL SAUCE, an acapella vocal jazz ensemble of about 14 members featuring incredibly lush and rich harmonies, will be performing along with, Greg Gibson, a young jazz pianist and the organist at Christ The King United Church, Kitchener. Proceeds will support the Community Ministry Program offered jointly by Calvary Memorial United Church and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.  This Joint Community Ministry Program provides a full dinner every Wednesday evening to about 70 marginalized people, a special full festive dinner at Thanksgiving and Christmas to more than 175 marginalized folks, counselling services, food vouchers, clothing, and other supports.

 Monday October 16 at 7:00 pm : Trinity United Church and Hospice Wellington are sponsoring An Evening with Rev David Maginley. David will speak on Compassion and the Power of Dying Well. He is a spiritual counsellor/chaplain for a Halifax hospital, has survived cancer four times and offers his wisdom regarding illness and death from "both sides of the hospital bed" as he says. Come to hear this wise and engaging speaker atTrinity United Church 400 Stevenson St N, Guelph. Tickets are $20, and are available from Trinity, Hospice Wellington or Therapeutic Touch Practitioners.
