 Save the date:

March 4, 10am - 2pm: Toronto United Church Council coming to speak with us between 10am - 2pm.  Worship Service, Lunch, Workshop. You will be introduce to a number of examples of ministries chosen for their capacity to reconnect the church with the communities they’re called to love and serve.

March 18, 9am - 6pm: Touring Toronto and Brampton.  Visit locations and meet a number of leaders who are at different stages along the route to build new missional ministries. $25 bus, includes lunch.  Let the office know if you are interested in participating so we can arrange rides.

House of Friendship Potato Blitz:  Trinity and St. Matthews are teaming up for this annual February event.  On Sunday Feb 18 or Sunday Feb 25 we encourage you to bring a donation of a bag of potatoes to church and help us achieve our team goal of collecting 100 pounds.  Your generosity will help the House of Friendship with its emergency food hampers and program meals.  Let this be just one example of how our two congregations can work together for the well-being of community in and around us.

When Worlds Collide - What Bubbles are Burst:  join us Thursdays in Lent between 12:30 – 2:00 pm as we look at the book of Mark.  Meeting in Bill’s Garrett located at 30 Duke St. W. above the Apollo Cinema.

Income Tax Receipts:  Those that were not picked up the past two Sundays were put in the mail on Tuesday February13th.

Ministry Team Meeting:  Wednesday February 21st at 4:00pm

Joint Leadership Meeting:  Wednesday February 21st meeting at 6:00pm.

Board Meeting: Wednesday February 21st beginning at 7:00pm

Men’s Breakfast Group:  Our next breakfast will be February 23rd at the Omega Restaurant on the corner of Fischer Hallman and Ottawa St.  We meet at 8:00 am.

Messy Church:  We will be meeting on Sunday February 25th in the Fellowship Hall between 4 and 6pm for activities followed by a meal. 

Trinity Book Club:  will meet on February 28 at 1:30 pm to discuss "The Wonder," by Emma Donohue. Set in rural Ireland in the mid-19th century, the story deals with people caught up in conflicting belief systems that lead to desperate actions and serious consequences. We will meet at the home of Margaret C.

World Day of Prayer:  Friday March 2nd

St James Rosemount United Church, 171 Sherwood Avenue, at 2 PM

St John’s Catholic Church, 85 Strange Street, at 2 PM

Refreshments follow all the services.

The program material this year was prepared by the Churches of Suriname, with the theme, “All God’s Creation is Very Good”.

 Community Events

Tuesday February 27 between 1:00 – 4:00 pm:  Card & Games Party at Forest Hill United.   Starting with dessert buffet!  Tickets $15 from Forest Hill Church office (mornings) or Margot White 519-742-6047.  Bridge, Euchre, Hearts, Cribbage.... come join the fun!  Proceeds support an adopted child overseas.

March 4 – 10:  A week of Guided Prayer, hosted by Calvary Memorial United Church, 91 Gruhn Street Kitchener.  Commit to 30 minutes of prayer at home and then 30 minutes at church daily for a week.  Registration is $25 to cover costs.  Contact Calvary directly at 519-744-9696 or office@calvarymemorial.ca to participate.  More information on the bulletin board outside the chapel.
