SPRING FORWARD - Clocks move ahead this weekend

Annual Meeting: Sunday March 25 in the chapel.

Annual Reports: Available for pick up beginning Sunday March 11th.

Board Meeting:  Wednesday March 14, 6:30 pm in the chapel.

March Newsletter:  Available for pick up on Sunday March 11th.  Those not picked up will be mailed at the beginning of the week.

March 18, 9am - 6pm: Please meet at the church for a 9:00 am departure.  Bus loading at the Church Street entrance. Touring Toronto and Brampton with Toronto United Church Council.  Visit locations and meet a number of leaders who are at different stages along the route to build new missional ministries. $25 bus, includes lunch.  Let the office know if you are interested in participating, there are still a few seats available.   Note:  your envelope is your ticket.  Please hand it in on the day of departure

Trinity Book Club:  Wednesday, March 21, at 1:30 pm. Come to the home of Jane M. to discuss the Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, a novel about racial integration and discrimination in war-time Seattle. This book is one of a collection of books offered by the Kitchener Public Library for use by book clubs. You can borrow a copy by calling Vi P.

Easter Memorial Flowers Deadline: Monday, March 26th  Donations are now being accepted for the flowers that will adorn our sanctuary on Easter Sunday. After the service, the plants will be delivered to Trinity shut-ins and members who have experienced the loss of a loved one in the past year. Pulpit exchange:  Sunday March 11, Rev. Bill will be preaching at Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo and Rev. Jenn Hind will be in our chapel.

Holy Week Services:

  • Maundy Thursday:  5 – 7pm simple supper, communion in rm 102, moving to the chapel for a Tenebrae Service.
  • Good Friday:  11am service in the chapel 
  • Easter Sunday:  8 am early service in the courtyard (weather permitting) with communion, followed by Easter breakfast.
  • Easter Sunday:  10 am celebration in the chapel, no communion

When Worlds Collide - What Bubbles are Burst:  join us Thursdays in Lent between 12:30 – 2:00 pm as we look at the book of Mark.  Meeting in Bill’s Garrett located at 30 Duke St. W. above the Apollo Cinema.

Fellowship Club: Sunday March 25. Meeting starts at 7:30 in the Chapel with a presentation by Deb Misener Jones (Florence Yucker’s daughter) about her organization, Strings Across the Sky, which provides musical training to indigenous youth. Refreshments will follow in Room 102.  Free-Will offering to help cover Deb’s travel expenses.  All are welcome.
