What's Happening at Trinity...

Debriefing TUCC Visits: (After worship THIS SUNDAY - rescheduled from the ice storm weekend)   TUCC led us on March 4 here and March 18 on a bus tour of Toronto and Brampton.  Now we share our feedback sheets and summaries, and discuss around tables in the chapel over a light lunch.  We will welcome St. Matthew’s Vision Team, and City of Kitchener economic development staff, for this conversation about being church in our emerging city!

On behalf of the Trustees – Jane M.:  In the United Church of Canada, the Board of Trustees is charged with looking after the assets of their particular congregations. This usually means that they review the church’s insurance policy and see that it is paid and this can be done in one meeting.
When a church moves or closes then it is the responsibility of the Trustees to oversee the dispersal of the church’s assets.  This usually takes more than one meeting. Thank you Trustees for all your support and help in the planning and execution of our online auction, a new venture for all of us.
To all the various people on committees who got busy and packed up for our move in November and all the people who have worked collecting the leftovers and dismantling items that had to be made smaller to get out of the building, we could not have done this without you.
To those who donned Trinity t-shirts on the pick up days of the auction and cheerfully helped our clients find their items, thank you. Timewell Auctions think you are wonderful and so do I.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. They anticipate that our proceeds from the auction will be around $39,000.
