A BIG THANKYOU: to all of you who helped deliver flowers and Easter Cards to our church family who are no longer able to join us for Sunday worship. Phone calls have been received at the church this week expressing appreciation of the lovely gesture.
Next Sunday: April 15, 10am Communion
Debriefing TUCC Visits: (After worship April 15) TUCC led us on March 4 here and March 18 on a bus tour of Toronto and Brampton. Now we share our feedback sheets and summaries, and discuss around tables in the chapel over a light lunch. We will welcome St Matthew’s Vision Team, and City of Kitchener economic development staff, for this conversation about being church in our emerging city!
Lunch Help for April 15 (or April 22 or May 06): Can you help by ordering grocery store trays of sandwiches (reimbursed by Trinity) and/or bring muffins, sweets, and set up coffee and cold drinks in the chapel after worship on April 15? Contact the office to offer to help! If you can’t offer for next Sunday, we’ll have a smaller crowd on Sunday April 22 for a ‘Should I Be Driving’ workshop (like the ‘Updating 4 Plans' workshops in January which will also be repeated later in June), and on May 06 when Joan Tuchlinsky will lead worship followed by a Sexual Assault Support Centre workshop.
Trinity Book Club: Join us on Wednesday, April 18, to discuss "Truth and Bright Water", a novel by Canadian writer Thomas King. From the summer adventures of two young Indigenous boys we learn much about life on a Reserve in southern Alberta. Meet at the home of E and M Johnston at 1:30 pm.
A Time of Guided Prayer: will be held at the Grand Valley Institute for Women (GVI) April 7th - May 14th beginning with an opening session on Saturday April 7th and the remaining sessions on Monday only. This is a modified form of a Week of Guided Pray adapted for the GVI. The companions come from Trinity United Church in Kitchener, Westminster United Church and Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo, and Rockwood United church in Rockwood. This is an example of various churches working together in an outreach prayer retreat for women at GVI. We ask you to hold both retreatants and companions in your prayers.
Settlers & Anarchists: What Side Are We On? Reading Joshua and Judges through Easter Season. Pick up Audio CDs today, or listen online: www.trinityunitedkw.ca or www.hereticslikeus.ca Conversations Sunday eve 7pm, repeat Tues noon at ‘The Garret’, over the Apollo Cinema.
