Whats Happening at Trinity…

Chancel Choir: rehearsals resume on Thursday, September 5th and we would love for you to join us! Rehearsals begin at 7:30 PM and run until approximately 9 PM. All who love to sing are welcome. There will be lots of laughs. And you can become a renowned Youtuber too!

This Sunday:  Carol Hyde, who is leading the worship time on September 8,th invites children to bring their school backpacks to church.  Any teachers in the congregation are also invited to bring their book bags to the service.  Mom and dad, if you carry a brief case to work bring it along as well.

Community Events

St. Matthews Loaves & Fishes Meals:  begins on Tuesday September 10th and runs as well on Wednesdays and Fridays.  For $10 you can have a warm delicious noon meal three times a week.  Please call the church office by 9am on the meal day to reserve your spot.  519-742-0462 ext 10.  

Sunday September 15: St. Matthews Community Barbecue, 11 am – 12:30 pm, in the St. Matthews parking lot

Friday, Sept. 27 – Sunday, Sept. 29: On the Table. Across Waterloo Region, family, friends, colleagues or strangers are gathering around food to talk about what matters most to them. Be a host or join the discussion.

Thursday, October 3 – Sunday, October 6: The Other Side of the River, written and directed by Kathleen Cleland Moyer, Theatre of the Arts, University of Waterloo. Love, loyalty, betrayal and loss: The Other Side of the River tells a foundational story of early Canada through a powerful family drama. Based on a true story from the Niagara region, the play follows the plight of three families (American, Canadian, Mohawk) during back to back Wars in North America. Saturday October 5, Spiritual Practices Retreat:  A day dedicated to Your Mind, Body & Soul.  9am – 4pm at Scott Mission Retreat Centre 3852 The Grange Sideroad, Caledon.  Registration 905-843-1035 or  Workshops are 75 minutes long – Yoga, Meditation, Photography as a Sacred Practice, Forest Walk, Nia, Music & Meditation Circle, Drumming, Native Wisdom, Tai Chi. Bring your own lunch.
