Trinity donates $50,000 to SHOW Modular Homes Build

Brian Paul accepts the donation from Trinity’s own Dave Rutherford and Barb Hill.

Trinity has very generously donated $50,000 to Supportive Housing of Waterloo (SHOW) for their 10-unit modular supportive housing project. This project is focused on creating permanent housing with supports for older adults experiencing homelessness.

Thousands of older adults in Waterloo Region are facing homelessness, and the need for supportive housing is growing faster than ever. Older adults are now the fastest-growing segment of the housing waitlist. Nearly one in three people waiting for housing is over 50.

SHOW is advancing plans for Waterloo’s first modular supportive housing project designed specifically for older adults. Located at 362 Erb Street, this innovative development will create 10 safe, fully accessible homes with 24/7 supports, giving older adults the stability, dignity, and care they need to age safely and independently.

Brian Paul, Executive Director of SHOW, expressed his appreciation to members of Trinity United Church: “We’re incredibly grateful for Trinity’s support and generosity. Thanks again to you and everyone involved!”
